Just get a small, portable laptop for cheap and the 80 bucks for Renoise (or madtracker, i dont know how much it actually costs) and your good to go. Thats great, since it means that yo dont have to break the bank to make some tunes as a hobby. Dont know if true, but from having read about trackers, i can see it being true.

I looked into madtracker and what i found very interesting is how it says it can work with basically any windows OS. Among Renoise 3's new features is its overhauled graphical interface.
